Sculpture - Sculpture
Currently I am involved in producing a series of sculptural works for siting within the grounds of Royden Park on the Wirral Peninsular, North West England. The works are to be sited as part of the 'Tree Trail' which runs through the park.
Bill Welch. BA Hon's Fine Art / Sculpture. Age: 35. A large proportion of my work is made using natural materials such as timber and stone, much of which is reclaimed, from the locations I work within. The work is in essence a response to the medium and the environment in which it is worked, the forms produced reference nature and are informed by wider issues concerned with our interaction with it.
My work invites viewer's to reflect on their experience of the relationship between themselves and the physical environment.
In short my sculptures are a series of contemplative forms that relate to and are informed by wider environmental issues and are and our interaction with them. images ©copyright Bill Welch 1813
