When I was a little girl I painted a picture of a house on a hill with
stars in the sky and then I glued fluffy cotton balls to the top of the
page for clouds. I wrapped it up and gave it to my older sister as a
gift. As soon as she saw it she got a huge smile on her face and
proudly displayed it on her dresser. That was 20 years ago and I still
love to create art that elicits huge smiles. I have traveled all over the
world and spent many hours on trains gazing out the windows at
beautiful scenery. As I watched farms, villages, churches and homes
pass by, I wondered about the stories each could tell. My paintings
tell some of the stories I imagined. images ©copyright Linda Woods 1797
