A personal selection of works by Kris Killman.
My name is Kris Killman and I'm a watercolor artist and photographer painting images from my own photo's. I've been painting and shooting for over 13 years and have won numerous awards and have many collectors. My work is born out of darkness. I spent the first six years of my working career 750 feet underground in a coal mine until it shut down. I've spent the last 17 years working in a maximum security penitentiary. Seeing the dark side of mother nature and humanity has given me a unique perspective on life. It's short, can be very tragic and if you don't look at the beauty around you, it will be insignificant. I've been looking for that beauty not only for my own sanity but just the sheer joy of finding and capturing it on paper. images ©copyright Kris Killman 1996
